This is our story
S ince the year 2010 we have created the 9+ cellar in Nou de Gaià located in the region of Taragona, with the idea of making different wines from our own vineyards.
The influence of the Mediterranean Sea makes Tarragonès a warm and mild climate zone with average rainfall of 550 mm. A climate and suns very suitable for cultivating traditional crops such as vineyards, olive trees and carob trees.
The farms are controlled and certified by the Consell Català d'Ecologia Agrícola (CCPAE) and, at the same time, the vineyards and wines are housed within the O. Tarragona.
At the 9+ cellar we want to present our range of wines, original wines such as our Serra Alta Cartoixà blanc; elegant, such as our crianza Serra Alta; Innovative, like our sulfur-free wines Mèdol Cartoixà Blanc, el young black and the Mèdol Selección; and emotional, like our sparkling wines Serra Alta and Mèdol.
MÈDOL: Range of organic wines without sulphites, currently on the market, we have the Cartoixà Blanc 100% fermented wine in chestnut boots, the young black Mèdol and Mèdol Selecció, a wine with 10 months of aging in oak and chestnut boots. Mèdol Brut Nature sparkling wine without sulfites prepared using the ancestral method. All are wines certified by the CCPAE and by the O. Tarragona.
SERRA ALTA: Range of white wine Cartoixà 100% with partial aging with chestnut boots and black Three Characters, a garnacha blend, merlot and cabernet bred in French oak barrels. We also have sparkling wines of long aging, such as the Serra Alta Cartoixà with the second fermentation and aging with a cork stopper and the Serra Alta Gran Brut, a blend of pinot noir and cartoixà. All are wines certified by the CCPAE and by the O. Tarragona. limited production designed for demanding and sensitive palates; at affordable prices.
We believe a lot with a new range, such as our Mèdol without sulphites, seeing that every day more people are more sensitive to consuming natural products and without preservatives. Sulfur or sulfites are a toxic one that the liver attempts to "neutralize" first and foremost, combining alcohol, despite being a source of energy, by slowing down the assimilation, is more affecting the head and the future "hangover" in the case of drinking in excess.
